John F. Malta is a visual artist and editor living and working in New York City.
As an editor Malta has overseen the production and design of a myriad of art anthologies, artist editions, comics, and zines. For the past five years his anthology UNIVERSAL SLIME has showcased a growing list of painters, comic artists, illustrators, and street artists including: David Sandlin, Kristen Liu-Wong, Simon Hanselmann, Aidan Koch, Joana Avillez, Patrick Kyle, Bad Buzz, Joo Hee Yoon, Paul Windle, Siobhán Gallagher, and many many others.

John has worked on freelance projects for clients such as Adult Swim - The New Yorker - The New York Times - Nylon Magazine - Ash Vs. Evil Dead - Brasserie Dunham - Cold Cube Press - The Washington Post - Esquire Russia - TEDxKC - Nordstrom - and Valley Cruise Press.
His paintings have been exhibited at New Image Art Gallery - Hashimoto Contemporary Gallery - Spoke NYC - Good Mother Gallery - Rivington Design House - Upper Playground - Superchief Gallery - and Space 15 Twenty.

His most recent comic LIVING LAND was awarded a Silver Medal from The Society of Illustrators and his work has been featured and published in American Illustration, 3x3 [Bronze Medal], AIGA Eye on Design, Decompoz Magazine, Grain Edit, The Design Kids, and Creative Quarterly.
